Timings
All classes begin at 10:00a.m. Check-In and classrooms open at 9:45am. Please make sure your children are in the school a few minutes earlier, not later than 9:55a.m. This way they won’t miss any of the class content. Please pick up your child immediately following the service. This way teachers have time to clean up after class and able to get back with their own families as soon as possible.
Supplies
Make sure your child brings a Bible with them to class. If your child would like to bring an offering, this helps keep our Sunday school functioning with ease and we are able to purchase materials needed for our Sunday school program.
Safety & Security
Every person over 16 years old who serves within the New Life God’s Orchard ministry must pass a criminal background check. At least two adults must be in each class room at all times. An adult must sign in each child at the beginning of the class and an adult family member must sign out the child at the end of class. Unless specifically noted on the sign out sheet children will not be released with other families. During the class the children stay in the room. Our classrooms are equipped with indoor bathrooms. Once a child is signed out from the class, they will not be allowed to re-enter the class to play and hang out. If you have not done so, please fill out the registration form so we may better serve your child.
Visiting Your Child in the Class
For the protection of the children each class room has a point where adults not serving in that class on that specific day are not allowed to pass. Please respect these security measures. If you would like to visit your child’s class or stay with your youngest child until he feels comfortable, please let the teacher know. If you would like to bring visitors in to tour the children’s rooms, please wait until the end of the service and then ask the teacher serving if it is an appropriate time to enter for a visitor tour.
Sick Child
If your child is sick, we advise you not to bring your child to class. If he/she has been exposed to any contagious diseases or has the following symptoms: a temperature of 100degrees or higher, vomiting within 24 hours, a runny nose with green or yellow mucous, or a contagious rash or severe diarrhea within 24 hours, please do not bring him/her to the school. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines for the health of all of our children.
Discipline
We feel that we can help children learn proper behavior by modeling it. Teachers are expected to implement a procedure of positive reinforcement to create an atmosphere of cooperation. If a child is disrupting the class, the teacher will first give a gentle, verbal correction. If a child does not respond, our teachers are instructed to remove a child kindly but firmly to a quiet corner for a time-out. Removal from the classroom is a last resort. The child with be brought discreetly to the parent in the main service.
Thank You For Your Cooperation!!
